Suzuki Mega Roadshows 2014

Found out that Suzuki Malaysia is currently running their road show at various places throughout Malaysia. The following is the schedule:

I was at DRB-Hicom Autofest, SPICE (previously known as PISA) Penang last weekend to check specifically the long awaited by Suzuki 4x4 fans, the Suzuki Jimny new JB43 model. The Suzuki Jimny is already a well known amongst the 4x4 enthusiasts. It's a good news for Suzuki 4x4 fans for the dream come true when finally Suzuki Malaysia decided to bring in the little mini 4x4 SUV which go anywhere despite the compactness of the car. It was already proven by the previous models such as SJ410 and SJ413, where the follower of this model is quite huge in Malaysia.  

There is not much to look for for this car other than for "viewing only". I have seen and get to hold the steering of the similar model while in Brunei. Here is my entry about my experience. I am not really sure about the specification of the new Jimny Malaysia 2013, however looking from the exterior, the following specification may the nearest possible match. It's based on the similar model Jimny Sierra 1.3L. Note that, there are two variations of Jimny in Japan which called as Jimny and Jimny Sierra with 660cc Turbo (K6A) and 1300cc (M13A) liquid cooled engine respectively.

The only negative force  (at least for me) is the unconfirmed price around RM90k would be the setback for this 3-door mini 4x4 car to justify the monthly repayment. Nevertheless, the joy of looking at the car and possibly soon to be on the road is great. Anyway, here are some photos of the Suzuki Jimny Malaysia 2013.

Dijangka masuk pasaran Jun nanti

Suzuki Jimny, yang menjadi antara model paling popular keluaran jenama Jepun itu akan diberikan penawaran terbarunya untuk pasaran Malaysia tidak lama lagi. Versi terbaru SUV kecil yang mempunyai ramai peminat termasuk di Malaysia itu akan diimport terus dari Jepun.

Menurut sumber, dengan harga dijangka berada sekitar RM90,000, Jimny terbaru itu nanti turut dijangka akan menerima sambutan hangat. BH Auto juga dimaklumkan bahawa 2 buah unit model terbabit sudah dihantar ke agensi berkaitan bagi proses ‘Vehicle Type Approval’. Kenderaan yang boleh didapati dalam transmisi manual atau automatik dipasang coil springs dan disuntik kuasa enjin  petrol 1.3 liter.

Bagi transmisi automatik, ia dijangka akan menggunakan sistem CVT (continuously variable transmission) yang dapat menjimatkan bahan api dan menjadikan pemanduan lebih lancar berbanding sistem automatik tradisional.

Penggunaan CVT berkenaan sudah diuji selayaknya untuk tidak akan mengganggu prestasi pemanduan off-road kerana ia membantu memberikan perjalanan yang lebih baik dan keselesaan terutama aspek pengendalian kereta ini.

Dalam masa yang sama, varian tertinggi bagi model Swift 1.4L sedia ada, Swift Sport juga kemungkinan akan diperkenalkan sekali untuk pasaran Malaysia. Nantikan perkembangan lanjut berkaitan perkara ini dilaman ini.– Firdaus A. Yasin
