Suzuki Malaysia Mega Roadshow 2014 @ Star Parade, Alor Setar

This is my third experience of visiting the Suzuki Jimny Roadshow after here and here

I found that, after checking the Suzuki Jimny Malaysia model, there are only two variants currently offered, which are 5-MT and 4-AT 1.3 JLX DOHC. I believe due to the automotive policies and regulations, specification such as (dual air bag, ABS)  are compulsory for these car to be sold in Malaysia, I'm not sure, but probably add more price tag to the car. In safety reason, these compulsory items are good for the customer and normally some of the key points when buying a car. On the other hand, for customer who just want to enjoy the tagline "If you like it rough", which the purpose is driven to a rough light core trail/off road, some of the safety features are not that necessary. Thus, no air bags and ABS should be fine. I've seen the variant without (air bags and abs) being displayed at Brunei during my visit there in 2012. The following photo is the engine bay of the 4-AT Suzuki Jimny 1.3 JLX JB43V M13A (during PGB4 Brunei 4x4 Challenge 2012). Note that on the right of the bay, there is no ABS.

The following is Malaysian Suzuki Jimny FJB43V with ABS.

Hopefully, Suzuki Malaysia will broaden the choices and market for the Suzuki Jimny by introducing another variant such as Suzuki Jimny 1.3 JLX 5-MT without airbags and ABS. However, looking at other countries Suzuki websites, only two variants are being offered depending on the countries regulation (5-MT and 4-AT) only. So, we are likely to follow the sale, which many people say "quite expensive". In one note, the price seems to be fair for the fully-loaded specification for a mini 4x4, while many other still does not satisfied with the pricing. We know, there always be a customer who will buy the car.
